Description
Guinea pigs cannot produce vitamin C on their own. If your guinea pig is showing signs of depression, loss of appetite, or sore joints/lameness, they might be suffering from a vitamin C deficiency or, even worse, scurvy.
Vetafarm's Vita C Plus Tablets are designed to maintain your guinea pig's vitamin levels without the need for dietary changes. Simply add the tablets to their water to ensure they receive the necessary vitamin C.
Description
Vitamin C is essential for various bodily functions, including collagen production (a crucial component of bones, skin, ligaments, and blood vessels) and maintaining a healthy immune system. Since guinea pigs cannot produce their own vitamin C, they must obtain it from their diet.
Scurvy is a nutritional disease caused by a vitamin C deficiency. Symptoms include loss of appetite, depression, lameness, poor coat condition, sore joints, and nasal discharge. Preventing scurvy is simple: ensure your guinea pig receives the correct levels of vitamin C.
Vetafarm's Vita-C Tablets are formulated to supplement your guinea pig's diet with vitamin C and other essential vitamins. These tablets are easy to add to water, maintaining the required vitamin C levels throughout the day. Note that guinea pigs fed Cavy Origins do not need additional vitamin C supplementation.
